Ceramic Art

It starts with a lump of clay that I put on a pottery wheel or flatten out with a rolling pin. The art process begins, and it can go in many directions. If you have never created with ceramics, you may not realize that it takes patience and often leads to frustration. Each piece takes hours and sometimes days to create. They say that clay has a memory. It does. When you form clay, it remembers the first position it is in and sometimes the clay has a life of its own. Learning the process has been rewarding, yet surprising. Little did I know how challenging creating ceramics can be. I hope you enjoy what I have created.
